LS Fundraising
Campus Campaign
Learning Services is pleased to announce their participation in the Campus Campaign. The Campus Campaign is an internal initiative aimed at encouraging personal gifts from our campus community including Faculty, Staff, Senate, Board of Governors, Students, and Alumni Council. Donors can donate using multi-year pledges and gifts, by payroll deductions, or a one-time gift. Your donation makes a difference in the lives of students and researchers at the University of Alberta.
As scholarships and bursary funding are considered priorities for the University's development plan, students are the priority for the Campus Campaign. Higher education accessibility (bursaries) and attracting the best and brightest graduate and undergraduate students (scholarships) are crucial to maintaining institutional momentum.
Staff of the Learning Services Student Leadership Award
For Learning Services, each of the units are working together to create a "Staff of Learning Services Student Leadership Award" from which awards are given to selected students each year. A minimum target of $20,000 raised will provide one annual award of $500. As more money is raised, more than one award or larger amounts may be given. In order to make this a successful venture and to assist these students, we need your help!
Criteria
The "Staff of Learning Services Student Leadership Award" will recognize those individuals with unique talents and interests and whose leadership has served to enhance programs within the LS portfolio.
To be eligible for one of the $500 awards, students must be attending the University of Alberta full time, have a minimum 3.0 grad point average, and serve to enhance programs within the U of A Learning Services community through working or volunteering in one of the departments. Candidates that provide leadership and contribute to the programs within LS are nominated by a staff member from Learning Services.
DONATE NOW! to the Campus Campaign. Please specify if you would like your donation directed to the Staff of the Learning Services Student Leadership Award.
It is only through your support that this endeavor is successful. Thank you!
